SURE Network members came together in Heerlen on 19 January to discuss their work on the Next Generation Podium and the overall work programme for 2023. Academics and local and regional representatives from ia. Lille-Metropole, Brussels, Aachen, South Holland, The Hague, Delft, Parkstad Limburg and Amsterdam gathered in the Dutch Mining Museum, close to the German and Belgian border. The location was symbolic and inspirational for the cross-border work of the SURE partners, who work together on this so-called macroregional Eurodelta scale with the goal of transforming the region into the first sustainable, circular and equitable delta of Europe.
